Kanye West released his third album, ‘Graduation,’ on Tuesday. Mr. West was able to rhyme the words totem and scrotum on the track entitled “Big Brother.”

New York’s newest venue is Terminal 5 @ 610 W. 56 ST. It will host MIA with her popular brand of Sri Lankan dance music 10/18&19.

One of New York’s other newest venues, the Highline Ballroom, is hosting The Aliens on 9/18 @ 9pm. The group is made up of former members of The Beta Band. Armed with a bottomless bag of psychedelically inclined rock and acid dipped electronics, The Aliens bring a freedom of spirit and a certainty of intent that immediately sets them out from the current crop of guitar slingers.

Now a little something for the ladies: British singer Kate Nash is evocative of Regina Spektor with a little big of Lily Allen in the mix, but without a US following as of yet. In the UK, she’s already sold out all of her shows in the month of October. Before then, New Yorkers have a chance to check her out in an intimate setting 9/24 @ Luna in Brooklyn or the following night at Joe’s Pub on Lafayette St. before everyone else catches on.

Scheduled for 9/29 @ midnight is a performance by satirical hip hop duo Cracked Out. They will dazzle you with such hits as Bennigan’z and, Ray Mendez favorite, FUPA.
